nVidia GTS 250 driver update issue

Yesterday in Automatic Upgrades from Microsoft there was a non-critical 94.5 MB driver update speecifically for nVidia 250 GTX. I checked versions and it made sense so I downloaded then innnstalled it. It noted that a reboot might be necessary. Screen came back up, reboot was never requested and I still have NOT rebooted the machine.

This was my first build last year and the graphics card has been flawles and folds well enough. While typing this message I suddenly can't recall if the new driver said GTS or GTX,,,that could be an issue. I'll go back and look.

Though almost everything is normal I get screen flicker on anything like the CNN home page where you have the animated advertisements.

When I first logged into TechIMO anytime I typed a letter in my PW or usr name I got screen bounce.

Should I just roll the driver back or try first to reboot and see if that clears it up?

    Thanks guys and gals,,,

You could uninstall that driver and download the latest available driver from here: NVIDIA Driver Downloads

    Thanks AR,

I think I will do exactly that. I am usually a bit more cautious about drivers, especially nVidia with some of the issues they have had lately with higher end driver releases?

They had a problem with one release lately, but it was quickly pulled and fixed with the next release.
