XFX Radeon 6950 2GB HDMI Sound Issue

I recently purchased the above graphics card and hooked it up to my receiver and HDTV via HDMI. But when I tried to play a song or video the audio that came through was echoey and far away. I was told it is because the sound is being processed by both Windows and the card itself but I don't know how to change that. This worked when I had my prebuilt Gateway. What am I doing wrong?

Might have to specify the ATI/AMD Radeon as the Audio Out instead of Windows.

I know I had to do something like that on an AMD system using my Old Radeon 2600 Pro, it had the option of Selecting the Onboard Motherboard audio, and the Radeon's Audio Processing. Though I never used HDMI out as the card didn't have one, but was still able to choose from either option for Audio Processing and output through the motherboards Speaker jacks.

    How do I specify that?
