The GTX 560 TI
Well, I just got the beast and installed the PSU and ran Furmark. At a resolution of 1024x640 I get a score of 2722. What I don't understand is that when I go to Furmarks's website they show Radeon HD 6950's that are at about 3500 points! Are they using crossfire or what!
What are your scores btw?
Found this GeForce GTX 560 Ti review
I was wondering. What kind of PSU would I need to one day do SLI with these cards? My current PSU is these. Newegg.com - Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-520 520W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
I plan on building an AMD 6 core machine sometime latter and maybe SLI two of these monsters.
I never did a SLI config. before. How is it done? I noticed that the card has a connection point on top. I'm assuming this is for SLI and you use a cable of some sort.Last edited by Taxmancometh; August 12th, 2011 at 03:01 AM.

1024x640 is a really odd resolution.

Using version 1.7.0 of Furmark, at 1920x1080 res, 4x AA setting, Full Screen, with my GTX 470 running at stock speeds.
I get 5160 for a Score.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

I just edited my post above. Let me run Furmark at those resolutions.

I only get 1285 on version 1.9.1 (all the same settings as the other run, Full Screen 1920x1080, 4x AA, other settings unchanged defaults)
Could be the version that was run to bench the card that could be giving the low score.
Check out that Max temp on this run with this version

My higher score on this run could be the CPU I'm running, i7 920, could be a bit of a bottleneck somewhere.
But I wouldn't be too concerned if your getting a lower score, as these are just benchmarks and not really in game performance measures.
as to SLI, as far as I know, there are no current AMD chipsets that will support SLI, so that sort of option with AMD is a no go right now.
I forget, but what CPU do you have right now?
I can't remember, but did you say your still running Windows XP? If so, that could be part of the problem too (DX9 and no DX10 being run, reducing performance a bit)
As to a PSU for SLI, a good 600-650W would be plenty, We commented a bit on it in the BF3 thread: Battlefield 3 Threadi7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

I use to run an overclock but it wouldn't hold anymore and I don't know why. Board is a Gigabyte 965P-DS3Last edited by Taxmancometh; August 12th, 2011 at 03:21 AM.

Thats odd, the settings show 4x AA, but the results are showing 8x (8 Samples) for AA.
I'd give it another run and make sure its running 4x AA, and see what you get.
But I noticed your OS is Server 2003 (Basically XP), so could be some sort of DX issues.
What Nvidia Drivers are you using?i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Well, I can't seem to get rid of the 8 samples no matter what setting I set to. I tried 0 samples and here is what I get.

This is what DXdiag says.

as to DX, like I mentioned a few days back, or last week, even though you have DX10 installed it will only use the DX9 part of DX10, in Windows XP OS's.
Could be thats part of the problem. DX9 score being a bit lower than DX10.
Download, Install and run this Demo (its a Non Playable Game demo, Its mainly DX9, though I think the game has some DX10 support as well), but the Demo was released as DX9.
X³: Terran Conflict Rolling Demo (unplayable) download - Mod DB
Its actual game renderings.
Run it in 1920x1080 with everything jacked up, I'll post a screen shot or two after this reply.
Attaching a screen shot of my settings (forgot to checkmark "Run As Benchmark")
Once its run, it will pop up with a window asking to save the results plus show the average frame rate of the run.
I've been using this Benchmark and a previous one for a few years now when doing comparisons. rather than relying solely on 3DMark and Furmark and others.
But the Benchmark takes a while, as it goes through 3 or 4 stages, so just sit back, enjoy the scenery and the music/sound with it
(the last part of the demo you'll get a thrill out of if you've never played this game or the series before, I have the 2nd game in the series, as well as the 3rd and 4th, and YES you can get out of your ship in game in space suit, and some stations and ships are THAT BIG, unfortunately you can't really go in them and explore)i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Edit! Tried a new server, got 1.1 MB/sec.

Is my card bad or what?!

It's all that clandestine umbrella drill that makes him so good at it.
