    Graphics card for my pc

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and possibly add some ram but not sure what would be best options to look at. I have downloaded Everest program to compile a report of features I have but not sure what would be best to post here to give right specs for helping with advice (necessary info etc.). I use my pc to mainly play World of Warcraft and have recently added Star Wars: The Old Republic to games I play but also play others from time to time. Warcraft runs decent but do get lag at times and Star Wars I experience constant lag and is very frustrating. Thank you if anyone can help me with any advice.

    Welcome to TechIMO!

    Which one?
    ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support-

You really need a new board, for a $250 graphics card.

I'm not even sure a $100 card wouldn't be bottle necked.

Your power supply is good though.

    If you reuse
    Case
    Drives
    power supply
This is my planned upgrade, reusing that stuff.
    MB
    Newegg.com - ASRock Z68 PRO3 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

    GPU
    Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100328VXL Radeon HD 6770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

    CPU
    Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K

    RAM
    Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

    Win7 64
    Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - Operating Systems

    $606.95

I know it is a little high, but we can whittle it down if you want.

A little cheaper motherboard, and a little cheaper, CPU, shouldn't hurt video card performance.

That CPU, is very high end, so a slower one, is still very good.

My upgrade, is for Flight Sim, so I need the CPU, most games need the GPU more.

That looks pretty good but if possible to whittle down to possibly $400-450 by dropping windows 7 and finding little cheaper motherboard and cpu? Since I will have to have someone install items for me, I have never done anything like that before. Thanks again for your help and advice.

I thought I had full version of Vista but I only have recovery disk that was sent with it when I bought, so I will probably have to get the windows 7.

Vista isn't very good anyway, you will be better in the long run.

Most geeks, would take XP over Vista, but 7 is the way to go.

I just got my first win 7 computer, and have never bothered with Vista.
    Still running several XP machines.

Thanks again for all your help I have ordered items and will be picking up tomorrow. Just curious on how hard it would be to install myself or would it be better to take somewhere and have done? And how much do you think it would cost, it would be the motherboard, cpu, graphics card and memory, I should be able to install windows 7 myself I would think.

Pretty simple really, just get a copy of 7, set the computer to boot from the DVD and run the install,

If you have any file, pics, ect, back them up first.

Another option is, install 7, along side Vista, in a dual boot set up, and you can choose, which one to boot from.
