Cant decide on graphics card for 3 Displays
K so i resently bought 2 more displays for my gaming rig, after running a couple games i relized that
my radeon 6770 1gb was having a hard time running the high res, i was already considering a new
graphics card but now i kinda need to upgrade to play my fav games on high-best graphic settings
so anyways what are some ideas for an upgrade my price range is about 330$ give or take
So iv been considering crossfireing my 6770 but idk cause iv also been thinking about getting either
a msi twin cooler 6950 2gb but will it hold up ???? so im asking what u think would run good
The reason i havent considered a geForce card isnt because im a ati fanboy, its cause they dont support eyefinity/3d vision or waht eva unless u have 2 cards in SLI.... So yeah .... Or maybe 2 550ti's ??? let me know what u think
thx in advance

Welcome to TechIMO!
Choosing ATI over Nvidia, for a real reason, not a silly fanboy reason. excellent.
No question a 6850 is a step up, but it is going to depend on your power supply.
6770, only needs a 400watt.
6770 CF 550w
6850 450w
6850 CF 550w
550Ti 400w
550TiSLI 500w
We need to know what mother board and CPU also.
What game also, or we are just guessing.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

I guess I'm confused, then.
All you need is a video card, and you want to spend $330.
Why are you setting your sights so low?
If you are buying new, crossfire/SLI should not be a consideration, unless, no single card, is better.
Of the cards you listed, there are plenty of single cards, better than those in crossfire/SLI
As well as if the game is not optimized for 2 cards, you will be playing on 1.
What is the brand of your power supply?
All power supplies are not the same.
Labels can't be trusted, unless, it is a brand name.
In the mean time, I'll look for a $330 cardHard Sayin Not Knowin

i see what you mean, but the main reason why i say crossfire is because im running such a high res,
and its a corsair professional series gold ax750 power supply

I'm pretty sure, when you get to high resolutions, video RAM, becomes important.
I don't thing cross fire is the answer.
Anyway, only games designed for Crossfire, could take advantage
6970 2gig

The 2 gig 6970 will give the higher resolution, but performance should be about the same.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

You are welcome.

That system, will be pretty close to my Flight Sim dream machine.
Just a dream at the moment, so I'm jealous.
