AfterMarket Coolers For 6970
So awile ago ( couple Weeks ago) i bought a HIS 6970 and holy shiz it runs abnormally hot at stock speeds at a pretty good load, like i was playing call of duty MW3 and after awile it was hitting high 60's to low 70's and cod isnt even very graphic intense at all!..... when i run furmark for like 5 mins it heats up to high 80* and even low 90*
when this Happens obs i kinda start to worry so i ramp up the fan speed quite abit to keep up with the temps but i kinda aim for a semi quite build, Anyways ill prob be getting another 6970 in a week or so, so ill prob buy 2 aftermarket coolers for each card, another thing i was wondering is if u could order, for example a saphire cooler like the one they use for there 6970's instead of buying an after market one, the main reason i suggest that is simply because if im going to be running crossfire it cant take up more then 2.5 slots ish......
Thx In advance

Dude you do realize those are normal temps?
if its doing 60-70 your fine.
Furmark runs cards much more harder than they normally would run even in intense gaming, but if your doing high 80's and low 90's in Furmark, your Par for the course with the rest of us with top end or near top end cards.
With the amount you have spent or plan to spend on the 2 6970's and planned aftermarket coolers (they aren't cheap either, $50-100 a piece), you probably could of gotten a single top end Radeon 7970. Or source out a single Radeon 6990 Dual GPU card.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
