Flickering textures. Help please.
IF you would be so kind to help with a problem i have been having since i bouth a new computer.
In most games (examples include: Fallout New vegas, Dead space, Batman:Arkham asylum, Saints row 3, Battlefield 3 etc.) distant textures are constantly flickering.
Example video: Fallout: New Vegas texture clipping - YouTube.
When i get close there flickering is gone, mostly (in some small places u can still see flickering up close but very rarely). When you stand still it does not flicker only when moving camera or inbuild headbob. It always flickers on the same objects.
My specs are:
Windows 7 64bit
ASUS p8z68-V motherboard.
I tried reinstalling the system- does not work.
Installed 10 different driver version - does not work.
Changed the video card from ATI to an older Nvidia 460 - same problems
Changed RAM - did not fix.
Connecting via different cable to a different monitor - does not work.
Tried altering Multiple setting in ATI control panel - no changes.
I heard its some kind of z-fighting issue?
Is there a way to fix it, can it be a motherboard problem?
I will appreciate all and any help i can get. Thank you in advance.
