SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5770 no vram?

Hi all. I recently bought a used, but operating Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB VRAM card and popped it into my tower. Everything seemed ok at first, but when I decided to go to that "can you run it" site for fun, it says I have no dedicated video ram. My monitor is plugged into the DVI port on the card itself and is displaying perfectly well. Still though, I should have 1GB VRAM coming off this right?

I was using a Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT prior and it was working fine, but I wanted a bit more out of my rig for some upcoming games.

What's going on with this no VRAM shenanigans? Anyone know and TIA :]

    Here are my specs:

    Motherboard: Asus M4A78LT-M

    RAM: 4GB

    Power Supply: 400W Dynex

    HDD: 750GB

    DVD-R/RW Drive

Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Youll definately get more out of your rig for upcoming games when comparing 5770 to 8600Gt. The 5770 would be on par with HD 4870, where that was atleast %30 faster than a 8800GT. Dont expect to play on high or even moderate settings with that video card, and also the resolution. Dx9 Games you will definately get away with though and can run quite easily.

    Welcome to TechIMO!

The problem with this isn't so much the videocard but the site itself, it's notorious for throwing false information like that and should not be trusted.

The only good way to confirm the specs of the game are from the manufacturer and comparing it to your own hardware. The quickest way to find out whats in the machine is simply to run 'dxdiag' within windows (from a command prompt, or in win7 just type in it the search bar on the start menu)

    File Server: AMD Opteron 180 / 3gb DDR400 / Nvidia 6200 / WinXP Home 32bit / Lubuntu 12.10
    Laptop: HP-Compaq nc8430/ Intel CoreDuo T2400 / 2gb DDR2 667/ Ati x1600 / WinXP Pro 32bit

even DXDiag shows wrong info for Video memory a lot of times these days.

It may be the simplest way to gather some basic hardware info about your system, but a better way would be to download and run something like PC Wizard, or Speccy.
