New Guy needing help picking out a graphics cards to play SWTOR

I want to play Star Wars The Old Republic my graphics card isn't good enough... their site recommends ATI x1800, nVidia 7800 or better.

Gateway DX4300 with intergrated 3200hd graphics (that basically is crap i guess)

    AMD Phenom™ X4 quad-core processor, 8 GB of DDR2 800 MHz SDRAM , 300w GPU, Windows 7 64bit

    got these card slots:

    One PCI Express 2.0 ×16
    One PCI Express 2.0 ×1
    Two PCI 2.0 conventional

I can't spend very much. Thanks very very much for helping me!

    can't spend very much....

Well, how about you list how much you CAN spend... otherwise getting opinions on what to get is pointless.

more than likely you'll need to replace the power supply in the PC as well, few off the shelf units PSU's are quality and powerful enough to use aftermarket upgrades.

nope, you have 2 options, an upgraded video card, and use stock PSU that might not be enough to run it, or overload the PSU.... or get an upgraded PSU...

need to have a bit more before making it a worthwhile upgrade.

    Newegg.com - Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply

and one of these: Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Video Cards & Video Devices, Desktop Graphics Cards, $25 - $50, GeForce G/GT series, GeForce GT 430 (Fermi), 128-bit

Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Video Cards & Video Devices, Desktop Graphics Cards, $25 - $50, Radeon HD 5000 series, Radeon HD 5550

my money would be on one of the Radeon 5550's.

could probably get away with this Antec 350W instead: Newegg.com - Antec Basiq BP350 350W ATX12V v2.01 Power Supply

But the 450W would allow you to upgrade to a more powerful video card down the road in years to come if needed.
