How Good is TriDef 3D Conversion?
I am considering an LG D2342P-PN or similar LCD monitor with 2D to 3D conversion capability. This allows conventional 2D movies to be seen in 3D.
I don't know if this only means it has the TriDef Software which I believe is compitible with some of the mid-to-higher end ATI video cards --or if it has a hardware feature that allows it to avail itself of the 2D-to-3D conversion. Anybody know? I have the ATI/AMD Vidcards on two computers. I don't know if it works with nVidia.
What I'm really concerned with is how good the conversion is.
The LG also has an HDMI input and I'm wondering if I plug in the Cable Set-top Box to watch 3D TV I would need a TV converter. This gets more complicated whether cable 3D TV/Movies could be seen in native 3D on the LCD monitor unless it was expressly built for 3D and whether an additional TV converter from cable would be needed.
