Mid priced? GT 630 is a budget range card, all it is, is a Rebadged GT 440 card, there's absolutely no difference between the GT 440 and GT 630.
Mid Priced would be $150-250 range at least.
Whats your exact Power Supply Brand and model?
In any case a GT 430, GT 440 (Just faster clocked GT 430), GT 630, will easily be faster than the 8600GT, not by huge leaps and bounds, but will be faster, and use less power.
What is your planned usage for the card, basic games, high end games, basic uses? If gaming, which games, and at what resolution do you plan to run them.
And what is your budget for the video card?i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
