Firstly, I do hope I have entered this topic in the correct thread.

I used to have an old Asus 8800gtx which ran perfectly with my system, I had dual screen running smoothly without any problems, that was until I switched over from Win XP to 7 and found that my card was running hotter than normal and after some time, it gave up the good fight. So for 6 months I was connecting my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 22") via the DVI output and my TV (Samsung 37" HD) via the HDMI output directly from the motherboard and also found that this was running fairly smooth with dual screen. Of course I couldn't play my favourite 'Crysis' game or many others, so decided to purchase an ASUS 550 ti 1TB graphics card, hoping that I could play my PC games and also run 2 screens as I tend to use my TV to watch movies and play games on (it's a larger screen ) After connecting up my new graphics card, connecting the cables and running all the updates I found that my TV does not work at all. 'Nvidia Control Panel' detects the TV ok and i've set up dual screen as I have always done yet the correct TV channel still says 'No Connection'. Every other channel on the TV works fine so it's not the Television, i've even tried using a different HDMI input port on the tv, but still nothing. I connected the monitor from the HDMI port on the graphics card with an adapter and that works fine, it's just the TV, another thing I tried was connecting only the TV via the DVI port (with an adapter) still nothing, it's almost like it's incompatible with my TV.
I connect the Monitor via DVI to DVI and the TV via HDMI to HDMI, which is exactly the same way I used to have it setup from my onboard graphics. The old 8800gtx used to be set up slightly different, with the monitor connected via DVI to DVI and the tv via DVI to HDMI. I am at a loss as to what am I doing wrong and hope that someone here knows what needs to be done. Any advise would be greatly appreciated
