    Welcome to TechIMO!

We will need three very important things here which are missing from your specs.

    What motherboard are you using?

What power supply are you using?

What Case size do you have?

If this is a prebuilt system (dell, hp, etc.), what was the exact model number as the above 3 can be answered that way.
    Main PC: AMD FX-8350 / 16gb DDR3 1600 / AMD 7970GE 1200mhz Core & 1600mhz Mem / Win7 Pro 64bit
    File Server: AMD Opteron 180 / 3gb DDR400 / Nvidia 6200 / WinXP Home 32bit / Lubuntu 12.10
    Laptop: HP-Compaq nc8430/ Intel CoreDuo T2400 / 2gb DDR2 667/ Ati x1600 / WinXP Pro 32bit

Would be beneficial to post the wattage of the PSU and 12 volt amp ratting.

could also specify the exact Intel CPU, simply saying Dual Core doesn't mean much...

Pentium D, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual Core, Celeron Dual Core, Atom Dual Core, Core Duo, Core i3, Pentium "G" Series for Socket 1156 and 1155 (stripped down Core i3's)...

2.13GHz, not sure if more than one Intel CPU had that clock speed, but I know the Core 2 Duo E6400 was 2.13GHz, as I used to have one, but beyond that, no way to know which CPU you have for sure.

If it is the E6400, the GPU if it meets the other requirements will work with it, but the CPU will heavily choke the video card, and prevent it from running at its max potential.

Could also mention what your coming up from for the upgrade, whats your current graphics chip?
