475 watt means absolutely nothing, even if the card is compatible with the mobo, you need to have a PSU capable of running the upgrade.

8650 is also going to be heavily bottlenecking that card, it will be leaps and bounds better than the 9400GT, but you won't get that 560's full performance with that CPU, unless you OC the snot out of it.

We dont know if you need a new power supply, we need the brand and +12V Amperage of the one you have now.

We don't know yet, because we don't know the brand of your power supply is, or the specs off the label
Brand and 12volt amps are a must.
The processor is optional, but we can't make a recommendation, till we know the specs of your motherboard.
Is this a computer from Wallmart, or the like?
I can't find that number on the Biostar sight
They only list
N 68S Ver 6X
N 68S+ Ver 6X
N 68S3 Ver 6X
N 68S3B Ver 6X
Is one of those numbers, printed on the board?
That other number, might be the computer model number.Last edited by stroyal; July 19th, 2012 at 09:55 AM.

this is what it says on the power supply:
MN:AA54225 SN:PXL20090713212
Input:AC115/230v 8/4A 60/50Hz
Output: D C +3.3v;+/-5v;+/-12v 475W
I'm pretty sure the model is N68SA-M2S for the motherboard but i don't understand why my model isn't on the Biostar site.Last edited by Kabir 360; July 19th, 2012 at 11:00 AM.

thats why stroyal asked if the PC was bought at walmart or somewhere like that.
Is the PC a Pre-built like a Dell or HP or Acer or whatever?
If so, that would explain why the mobo is not on Biostar's website, its an OEM board used for prebuilt PC's.
If this PC is a prebuilt PC, list the Brand and model of PC.
For the power supply, does it not have a Brand and Model on the Label?i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

What is the brand name of the power supply?
Those numbers come up with nothing, googling
This is an exact science, pretty sure doesn't help us help you.
Again we need the brand name of the power supply.
We need the amp rating for the 12v rail.
We need you to look at the motherboard, and get the number.
As well as my other question.
Is this a store bought unit, or did you purchase the motherboard, yourself.
That card requires a 450watt power supply, minimum. edit(less for a brand name)
GeForce GTX 560 | Specifications | GeForce
If it is really a 475watt, then it should have 30 to 35amps, or more watts on the 12v rail.
My Corsair 450watt, has a 33amps 12v rail.
If you want a recommendation, on a CPU, we have to know exactly what board you have, not pretty sure.
If you get those, we will be glad to help, but now, I'm sure there are techs waiting to help, but won't bother, with no information.
We just can't guess.Last edited by stroyal; July 19th, 2012 at 12:35 PM.

Just going with the fact that you have a socket AM2+ processor,
any of these should work.
But I would, want to know what board, to be sure.

Youll want to replace that, trust me...
Its not a matter of IF it blows, but when...
Even if you werent doing the upgrade you wouldnt want that in your PC.
So where would you be buying a replacement?
Are you in the US?
What stores/sites do you have access to to buy from?Last edited by JPMiller; July 19th, 2012 at 04:28 PM.

Then here is the CPU support list.
N68S+ :: Motherboard :: BIOSTAR
Quad core is all you need, but more cores won't hurt, they just won't help in gaming.
As for the power supply
I have never seen one so bad.
525 is a total lie.
14amps on the 12v rail, you got to be kidding me.
This is the cheapest I can recommend
Newegg.com - Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply
Notice this only 450watt, has 2-18amp rails, with a combined 12v of 30amps.
How can anybody call that coegen a 525watt, with a total of 14amps on the12volt
It doesn't even have the excuse of 30amps on the 5v and 3.3v like older designs, so it is a total lie.
Going by their own label, that only puts out 323.8 amps.
you expect a little loss between the input, and the output, but 201.2 amps is ridiculous.Last edited by stroyal; July 19th, 2012 at 06:14 PM.

Stroyal, those CPUs won't work. Those are socket am3+ not am2+.

Those are just the4 and 6 core AM3+ CPUs.
You can also get AM3, and dual core, for cheaper.
As long as it is on the CPU support list.
Here is one a little cheaper
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X2 560 Black Edition Callisto 3.3GHz Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Desktop Processor HDZ560WFGMBOX
As long as it is at least a dual core, @ about 3000 mhz or more, you should be fine.
It's your mhz that is hurting performance, and most games, only use dual or single core anyway, but that is changing.
If you think AMD is expensive, check out Intel.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

Yep I'm stupid.
I forget about the AM2+, and just saw the +, and thought it was a 3.
At least my CPU support list is right.
Looks like E-bay time.Hard Sayin Not Knowin
