GTX 560 reset issue
Basically I built a custom pc last week with these parts
intel i5 3570-k 3.40ghz processor
8 gigs of ram
p8z77-v lx motherboard
nvidia galaxy gtx 560 graphics card
windows 7 64bit
Whats happening is when i first started it up and played games it was fine..got a little hot but still worked.. a week and a few days later about 20 minutes into a game.for example crysis or skyrim, even on the recommended settings, the card shuts down, the screen goes black, it says no signal and I have to restart.
This whole computer is brand new including the graphics card and I am completely stumped as to why this is happening.
Ive even tried to reduce the core clock from 810 to 800 but no luck.
If anyone knows whats up it would be appreciated. thanks

Its amazing that people consistently leave out the most likely culprit and in most cases the most important piece of equipment in their PC....
The power supply...
What brand is it, wattage, and what is the +12v Amperage?

which exact model of PSU? The TR2 RX is a series of units, which exact Wattage rating model is it?

I used to think it was a heating issue but i just literally played a game (which i lowered a few settings on) for 5 minutes and the card shut down..maybe a voltage problem somewhere? I have no clue

It sounds like a heating issue. Try removing the case side cover and see if the system will run longer. I have the same case/psu with a 460 loaded with top/front/rear fans and barely maintain reasonable temps while gaming.

it should be running cooler at idle, but then depends on the ambient room temps.
Mine with my AC on behind the PC runs between 20-35C usually at idle, but my card is a GTX 560 Ti, runs a bit higher in clock speed and has more cores.
sometimes it will peak around 40C at idle, but my at load temps currently with AC on, never really go over 70C, usually between 40 and 60-ish.
Whats your CPU temps? Is the CPU Overclocked at all?
What Speed RAM are you running, and at what speed is it currently set at?
What CPU Cooler are you using?
Are you sure all your case fans are facing in the right direction for intake and exhaust?
Which CM HAF case do you have ( there's more than one), do you have the PSU oriented in the right direction, the fan should be taking air in from under the case.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

the cpu temp is between 30 and 40 not overclocked
the ram is ddr3 corsair vengeance 8 gig, im not sure the speed, the guys at the store assembled the computer for me
the cpu cooler is the standard one that came with the i5
the fans are facing properly
not sure about the tower..it just says HAF coolermaster on it
the psu is in the right direction
also, i make sure the room is well cooled, we have central air in the house.

if its Vengeance RAM like I have, its at least 1600MHz rated, but may or may not be running at 1600, may be at 1066 or 1333 like I have currently. Some Vengeance is rated at 1800+ and higher.
Download and run CPUz, CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
Check the SPD tab and see what it says.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

with out the heatsink the CPU can go from 0 to over 100C in a fraction of a second and fry, thats why it can go that fast.
Doesn't take long or much to bump it 15C that quickly.
a GPU is the same, can go from 0 to 100+ C in a fraction of a second with out any sort of cooling to wick away heat.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
