One of the 1st Geforce GTX 660 Ti Reviews!!!
GeForce GTX 660 Ti Review: Nvidia's Trickle-Down Keplernomics : The Kepler Trickle-Down Continues
Doesn't look too bad, it at least runs as good as a GTX 580 for gaming, so for $300 price range that easily matches or bests some of the cheapest 580 pricing lately.
Plus nvidia specs show it runs on less power than a GTX 560.
Even though it matches and sometimes passes the Radeon HD7870, the fact that a card at this level can run 3 Way SLI instead of 2 way like the 560 Ti it replaces, is pretty sweet as well.
Myself I would love to get a single 660 Ti, but for the costs I could probably nab a 2nd 560 Ti for SLI and get near that performance range in 2 way SLI.
though I would love to run a pair or Triplet of 660 Ti's, but figure I will wait to see the price wars between the 660 Ti and 7870.
Though sucks about the OpenCL and Compute abilities lagging behind AMD's cards, as this has usually been in prior gen cards one of Nvidia's strong suits, same with the Metro 2033 benches, but hoping this is not a sign of Nvidia falling back on its optimizations and cooperating with developers in optimizing software for these cards.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

well, to be honest, you and I bought out 560 Ti's after they were out of date, or at least in my case, I bought it before that, but by the time I installed it, it was already out of date, and had been around for nearly a year and half.
I'll probably be surfing the OCN forums in the next week, and see if I can snag a 2nd 560 Ti for cheap off there, since I just got paid today, so I should be able to afford one for SLI at least, and hold me off until the spring.
I've also got a guy at work that is wanting to update his POS desktop PC he bought months ago, for more than it was worth (Prebuilt) that he mainly uses for Storage, but since his laptop is barely cutting it for some games, as I think he has a Radeon 6850 in the lappy or the Desktop, he's looking for something a bit more powerful, offered him my GTX 470 for $150-ish, never OC'd, bought Open box but was new in box when I got it.
Runs a bit hot, but not overheating, and a bit loud, but if he's a headset gamer, its not an issue.
so have to wait to see what he says.
I might even sell my Antec Neo Eco 520W with it, to upgrade the PSU in his rig if he needs it.
But surprisingly, the rate at which Solo has his GTX 480 OC'd to, it would probably come close to this thing, though might be a bit better than the 480, but I would imagine Solo's 480 is pushing near 250W at least, since a stock 480 runs around 225 as it is.
but 150W for the 660 Ti, with performance as good or better than a 580. damn, 3 of those in SLI would only be pushing 450W total. which to be honest, isn't that bad IMO.
Even if they were 190W range like the MSI in the review, thats still not too bad on Wattages.
I could easily run 3 of those, and a 4th card for PhysX, in my Mobo, with my 850W NZXT Hale82 and still have power to run the rest of the system on, and OC some as well.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

How do you enable SLI? Do you just reinstall the graphics card driver or what.

not sure exactly, as last time I had it, it was the Geforce 7800GT's era.
I think you just install the 2nd card, plug it up, put the SLI bridge on, and restart windows (obviously with PC off during the install process of hardware), and then enable it in the Nvidia control panel properties.
I always see the option in there, grayed out with only one card or 2 dissimilar cards installed.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

The 560 Ti SLI combo is definately a Good Value for Money. I have experienced 560 Ti SLI and is slighty faster than 670 ( Obviously depending on the Game though) If you have a 560 Ti, given the price for SLI its definately worthy. also given the wattage consumption of the 560. Although I think the best value in SLI today would be the 660 TI. They consume so little power as shyguy stated and for the price, the performance in SLI is not that far off a 670 SLI. Some games yes, but perhaps the 192bit doesnt effect so much when doubled with another card.

Some 'GTX-660 Ti' brand cards have 2 fans instead of 1 fan. What are the pros and cons of each?
Of the brands offered, are there any cards to be avoided and which ones are the better quality. SEE BELOW;

well considering the 580 still goes for $400+ and the 660 Ti JUST came out, the $300 tag is expected. As it is AMD is dropping the prices of the 7950 and 7870 to better compete with the 660 Ti.
