The difference between these two cards?
I just need an in depth opinion on how these are different even though they have about the same hardware.
Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
Newegg.com - Refurbished: EVGA 01G-P3-1556-RX GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

They aren't any different they are the same exact card. One is a new card and the other a refurbished card. The difference you see in the parts number 01G-P3-1556-KR vs RX is just show they can be differentiated. The KR is the standard lettering for a new card, the RX obviously for the refurb.

KR is the 2 or 3 year Warranty cards, AR is the Limited Lifetime Warranty Cards, and RX is Recertified/Refurbished Designation for Their Cards (90 Day Warranty), but as rich pointed out, its the same exact card.

Err damn, that's right they had been doing that for awhile. I think I was thinking about XFX changing their warranties earlier this year. Dunno where my head is today

that, I didn't know, XFX, I know they have had Double Lifetime Warranties on their cards for some time, along with Lifetime and few year warranty's as well, but didn't know or hear anything about them changing their warranties lately.
I'm wondering if Nvidia Will ever reissue them a license to start selling Nvidia Cards again, give EVGA a bit of competition and maybe back to the old Price wars, with MSI dropping their prices to compete with the 2, like years ago.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

14yo refuses to remove t-shirt while in school, police are called, and he is formally charged with obstructing an officer because he would not stop talking when the officer told him to. ...
