well i tried what you suggested looks like the card is defective.. it wouldn't run in the 2nd slot. still though the boot up without the GPU still won't come on ether there's gotta be something wrong with the mobo aswell.

might be just the motherboard, that is defective, as that would account for the GPU not working.

Something is either defective or not connected properly.

or could just be the Single Stick of RAM is bad too,

if you have another PC with a PCIe x16 slot, and a decent Power Supply in it, to test the card, then that would rule out whether the card is bad.

if you had another Stick of DDR3 (doesn't matter what speed or size) to test in the motherboard, all its slots, and see if you can boot up to the Bios Menu's, then that would rule out the Stick of RAM as being bad or not.

Or if both of those don't work, it could be the board, or any combination.

Also a small chance of the CPU being defective.

Especially if there was any sort of Static Shock or ESD transmitted when handling the parts and installing.

well use the mini tower to test the new DDR3 stick to see if it works or not.

if the Mini Tower has a PCIe x16 slot, you can install the Radeon in it, with the side panel off, and just power the PC on with the newer PSU as well (Disconnect the stock PSU power cables for the Motherboard (20+4 pin and the extra 4 pin if it uses one and connect those cables on the motherboard and plug in to wall, then power on the PC and see if it will turn on).

Should probably do that with the PSU and stock system first to make sure the PSU turns on.

then install the Radeon, and see if the system will turn on.

if any of that made sense.

Just because ONE thing might be going wrong doesn't mean its all bad.

You could of overlooked one thing putting it together and its resulting in this.

the likelihood of ALL the parts being bad are very very very slim.

as to better parts, you got some of the best you could for your budget, if want better parts, you'd have to of increased your budget for upgrades, plain and simple.

Veryy true alright well i mean would there be any way of me to like actually fix it? or am i to send it back and get a replacement or something, although i don't really know which part is the defective one im waiting for this guy to message me back, apparently he's been doing this for 6 years and knows a lot so hopefully he knows something. also i cant put the computer im using at risk because i might do something to that as well lol. i regret to also mention that when i was building the computer i was doing it on carpet they may have also had to do with the this all going wrong who knows though.. but i had the mobo on top of its box it came with soo it wasnt touching the carpet but the computer case was and then i put the mobo in there with both sides off the case. the case was on the floor on its side and i placed the mobo inside the case which then i guess contacted with the carpet cuz the one side of the case was naked and there was a hole where you could see that back of the mobo.

cool, great to hear, might have to post some pics of the rig and maybe some benchmark results or something.

Like I mentioned above, was probably some small thing that was overlooked.

No, you have no dedicated gpu, only onboard CPU graphics, and you'd need a dedicated gpu to do so.

Your CPU has onboard graphics built into it, its really low end, low quality graphics for gaming.

In other words, sh*t graphics capability. Its fine for HD Video, and basic use, and some light 3D gaming, but nothing beyond that.

You'll need a Dedicated Graphics card installed in that PC, and since your PC is a Low Profile/Slim Style Case, thats going to limit your options.

Add to that, the Power Supply Might not be able to handle a newer cards, depending on what you got.

Luckily GW2 isn't that demanding and would be more CPU Intensive, especially in areas of the game with a lot of Community Interactions.

Which means your CPU would be the part holding back performance in those situations.

The other issue with your PC is that its a Mini ITX/Mini DTX form factor size case, and system, specs on your link shows it only has a Single Available PCI Express Slot available, doesn't list what type of slot it has though.

Whether its an x1 or x16 length slot.

You'd have to open your case and look, or even take a pic and post here and see whether you even have an x16 Slot to install a card into.

Then as said above, there's the Power Supply issue, it shows in the specs its a 220W PSU, which is probably not going to help things.

It doesn't show the specs of the PSU, doesn't list what the +12V Rail Amperage Rating is, which is on a label on the PSU.

There's 3 rails, a 3.3, 5 and 12V Rail and should be an Amp Rating (A) for each one, the +12V is the important one to know.

Most likely any card that would run GW2 at high settings isn't going to work with that 220W PSU.

Finding a replacement upgrade PSU can be a problem with systems like these as well, as they aren't common upgrades and replacements.

You could get a new Case, and a new PSU, and transplant the entire inards of the existing system into that, which would allow you to use a full size Video card, and Power Supply, and a better rated PSU, but still hangs on whether your motherboard even has an x16 length PCIe Slot.

it should be able to, the CPU is one of the top models out still, at least for mainstream socket 1155 anyways.

and the GPU, though not a top end card, it should be able to run GW2 at pretty good settings (just so you know, there's no such thing as HD graphics, you have HD Wide Screen Aspect Ratio's which are 16:9 or 16:10, and then there is 1080p and 720p which are commonly referred to has HD Resolutions, but anything over old school 1024x768 from 15-20 years ago is "HD")

Smooth Playing, its hard to say, won't know until its run on the hardware, as there can be a whole slew of things to prevent that, Slow Hard drive performance, extra crap running in back ground, slow/laggy internet, etc etc.

but the CPU will be plenty for AI interactions and other players in community driven areas, and the GPU should be enough for decent graphics, you'll have to play with the settings to find a good balance, if it doesn't max out the games graphics at decent frame rates.

but for the price, its the best deal on that site, for what your looking for.

Hey shyguy, i was wondering if i should get another R7750 for more boost in graphics and speed, since it seems weird to just buy another better graphics card when mine still works perfectly fine lol. i've just been recently playing games like assassins creed, and skyrim and they have there slight moments of lag but not a hugeeee problem anyways i was wondering what you would suggest i do.
