I'm getting one of these tomorrow
Triplex Geforce 4 Ti4200 64mb 3.3ns (550MHz)
This card has a silverized PCB, which Triplex claim make the card more stable and better for cooling.
Unfortunatly I have not seen any reviews on this card as yet aside from this one http://www.dansdata.com/tpgf44200.htm
I will let you know What I think of it |

It looks really
I bought a Gainward GF4 Ti4200 128MB VIVO last Sunday .. it has 4ns RAM .. i like it so far .. it gave me around 9300 points in 3DsM2001SE without tweaking yet (i found it for around 120 bucks )
But with 3.3ns memory on that card you will reach Ti4400 and maybe Ti4600 scores ...
Let us know ..
Enjoy dude |

Impressive looking card! What's the extra connector on the bottom, digital out?

TOAD6147: the first connector is of course VGA out, the next connector is S-Video out, the next connector is DVI out. The DVI is a digital version of VGA (i don't know that much about it) and if you get a VGA adapter for it, you can run dual monitors using both the VGA and DVI out. Pretty sweet card, how does their company rate? So far I've stuck with Gainward.

This card is costing me $370 NZ = $180 US which is a fairly cheap price for them here in NZ at the moment. Our Ti4200 64mb prices range from $354 NZ = $172 US to $465 = $226 US. Hehe no deals like $120 US.
Although one place did have some Chaintech Ti4200 128mb OEM cards going at $208 NZ = $108 but apparently these sold out in 1/2 an hour

DVI is used for LCD's which are digital in nature.
DVI passes a digital signal from the card to the LCD.
When you run a video card through the VGA connector, it converts the signal from digital to analog, to a usable form by your analog CRT screen.
When you hook up a VGA cable to an LCD, what your in sense doing is taking the video from the video card, converting it to analog, running it up to the LCD, and converting it back to digital.
You can use dual monitors as it is, except that one would have to be a LCD screen with DVI-in. IF you want to use two CRTs or a CRT and an LCD without DVI-in, you would need a DVI to VGA adapter.
I was actually looking for the triplex at one point, but its difficult to find in the US. (why? uhh It matchs my Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum 3.3ns RAM doesnt hurt either.)
Ken, where'd you get that puppy so cheap?
I was looking to buy the Abit Siluro TI4200 64MB, because most people have been getting OC's around and over 600Mhz Mem...doesnt have Video in though. Hoepfully the Radeon 9700 coming out of the gate will drive down GF4 Ti prices. |

Yeah, it appears that the Triplex card is targeted at the pacific market (Dont know why), like other manufacturers I only seem to see over here. Do you guys ever get and products from Soltek (there mobos are doing quite well over here ATM, they have very good performance and are very cheap)? |
