Question
GeForce4 MX 420 PCI

I have a new Visiontek Xtasy GeForce 4 MX 420 PCI card that will not work on my Florida-C Motherboard. I am trying to find an affordable motherboard, that is compatible with this video card. Would anyone know if the Shuttle AI61 AMD Athlon 700 MHz would work? Thanks if
you can help in any way. Bill

I don't know anything about the Shuttle system (isn't that a barebones system?) but from my own experince I would recommend you to get hold of a motherboard without intergrated graphics.

My problems (on two seperate systems with one Geforce 2 and one Savage 3D card) came from a conflict between the built in graphics and the PCI card. I could never get the PCI card to work.

As for a cheap motherboard, all motherboards do have a PCI-slot so just look for one that supports your CPU and RAM.

Hmmm....most mobos would work just fine with that card.

However, you will see a major hit in 3d graphics applications since you are using a PCI card. If the card is new, return it for an AGP model.

Shuttle, eh?
