I'm a Geforce fan, and in lotsa cases GeForce will rock the Radeon. But I saw a benchmark test where the All-In-Wonder card they just brought out waxed the GeForce in some games/programs. But Id still go with GeForce
My 2 cents |

The GeForce4 will give you more FPS in 3D games but the Radeon 9000 will give you better 2D quality. You will still be able to play all the latest games with alot of detail and color on the Radeon but you will have to settle for a few less FPS which you probably will not notice anyway.
I am an ATI fan BTW. I think that you cant go wrong with ATI. Good multipurpose cards. |

The only thing that has ever kept me from even thinking about an ATi card is their drivers, if they want to give nVidia a run for their money they really need a good driver team. |

I have heard that ATI's new Catalyst drivers are very good now.

When you compare the Radeon 9000 to the GeForce 4 The radeon will lose....
However....
The reverse is true if the GeForce 4 is compared to the Raedon 9700 Pro as indicated in these articles on HardOCP:
#1 - http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MzQ0
#2 - http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MzQw
And to quote from article #2
"The ATi Radeon 9700 Pro is the best video card we have ever laid our hands on. ATi is going to be first to market with some very impressive technology and the gamers are sure to take notice. I think the benchmarks at 4XAA/16XAF speak for themselves. The image quality is nothing less than beautiful in both 2D and 3D. Then considering we already know it is going to be a powerhouse card that has the ability to run DOOM]|[ next year and you are almost guaranteed to have a nice long term upgrade for your hard-earned cash."
I am sure you cantell which one I have......!

Yep.. Radeon 9000 was made to compete against Nvidia cheaper solution... that is... GeForce 4 mx series!!!
The Radeon 9700 is the fastest card around!
The only thing that keeps me from buying an ATi card it's their linux support.!! |

The Radeon 9000 is the cheap new thing from ATI, the 9700, like others said, is the top of ATI's line.
I have a 9000, I believe a GF4 would be much faster than it. Though it's far from slow... |
