DVI versus Analog, and fuzzy fonts on LCD displays?

Each size LCD has a native resolution.
For 17 inchers, it's 1080 x 1024.
This is where text is displayed with the greatest clarity. Anything other than that requires the scaling, or interpolation, leading to "fuzzier" text.

My question is: If I had a 17 incher LCD monitor set to a screen resolution other than it’s native resolution (say 1024 x 768), would a DVI connection still have the fuzzy fonts or is it just the analog LCD connected monitors that suffer from this problem?

not true...the optimal resolution for 17" LCDs is 1280x1024.

any setting other than this will result in a grainy font/image. this is independent of whether you use an analog(vga) or digital(dvi) output.
