Unhappy Help! Computer won't adjust resolution!!

Hi, I need your help again. I have a couple of games that I liked to play often but they all automaticly switch to 640x480 resolution. This is where the problem comes in. I put in (example) Age of empires 2 age of Kings CD in, and the screen flashes a couple of times and then just goes blank. and there is no responding. I know the video card can't be the problem because in my meddling around with it, I caused it to go into safe mode (this was in my frantic efforts to fix it) and the screen got set to 640x480, All I did was run scan disk before the problem came up.
    System specifcaitions:
    Pentium 2 400Mhz
    Amtrack motherboard (I think)
    64 MB Ram
    8.4 GB maxitor HD
SIS 6326 4MB True color video card
    D-link ethernet card
I didn't add any new hardware to it right before the problem.
Here is the list of CDs that don't work with it (so far)
Age of empirers 2 age of kings
    Lego island
    Lego Rock raiders (Neat game)
I hope I don't have to reinstall windows again!(Yes this is the same computer that wouldn't boot to windows. Yes it is the computer that wouldn't start. AND yes it was the power supply.
You's guys are a great help! Thanks

I think the game you are trying to play requires a 3D accelerator graphics card and high memory. i'm just not sure about this but can you list down the games that you can play?

tyr also upgrading your video card drivers. worst, you need to reinstall windows and get ladest driver versions for all your hardware.

Hi! I haven't gotten on the internet for a while.
I solved my problem at http://directron.infopop.net/2/OpenTopic They have some foums almost like this sites, the only differances are people who work for directrons tech support are frequent posters to that site, they also have pretty good prices and don't skin you with shipping.
    Thank you so much
