Dual Monitor through Video Out???
Is there a way i could use a second monitor for video out? I have a Radeon with 64MB of DDR and Video In Video Out and S-Video. Through eithe S-Video or the Video out, is there a way I could possibly get that onto a second monitor. I mean, if you can display it on a tv, why not a different monitor. my biggest issue would be the adaptors or whatever, also trying to get the second monitor to display something other than whats on the first, to make it truly like a second monitor. I was just trying to cook up an idea instead of buying a different video card. Thanks,

If its anything like the Nvidia cards, you will have to choose one of the 2 to be on, you cannot have both on at the same time.
And they both display the same thing, you do not get the expanded desktop.Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

The Radeons can run two different contents, no matter what display units you connect. One head is CRT-only, the other one can be DVI, TV, CRT, or DVI+TV. CRT+CRT+TV is not possible.
That said, dual head CRT+TV is possible, but you're not going to like the image quality on the TV signal. SVideo and RCA video signal bandwidth is in the 5-7 MHz range, while even the worst monitors are way beyond 100. Forget the fine print, this means.

Hmm..if it has a DVI-I, an adopter should convert that to VGA/CRT. (does it have a DVI-I, thesystem ? Hydravision ?
I don't believe a DVI-D can be adpted to VGA.
TV sets are OK for moving picks like DVD or still photos, but lousy for text.
Also, if you ever get an LCD...
You didn't tell much about the non-TV connectors. Is there only a single CRT out ?
Just for my curiosity, does the VI of the VIVO "capture" NTSN (sp?)from TV to MPEG, or only camcorders and AVI etc.
