ATI radeon 9000 128mb or GF4 Ti4200 128mb?
title says it all what do you guys reccomend?

GF4 Ti4200 128MB, IMO
The recommendation is based on my usage for this card which is fast with reliable drivers and can crunch any game you throw at it.

Just between those two, definitely the GF4. The 9000 is not comparable to the GF4.

I just installed a 9000 on a system. At the very least, I'd have to say I'm impressed with it. It installed on a brand new system without a single hitch. Not to mention it autoconfigured itself to 32bit color right off the bat in 1024X728 Resolution. Can't say how it would do game performance wise ( perhaps I'll have to throw UT2K3 in it and see what it does, I could run the benchmark on it )this post contains small bits of intelligence culminating to the appearance of wisdom.

let me know how well it does but for right now i think the GF4 is the way i should go

what make and model? I just purchased a Geforce 4-Ti4200 8x with 128mb ram.--- Standby to receive our transmission ---

Get the Leadtek/128---4400 if you can swing it---(check out the cooling)
