Video card & FPS

well its the only i can afford right about now, i did buy a Geforce2 MX200 32mb PCi but then i took it back and got a GEforce4 Mx440se 64mb 4x agp

Ignore those negative comments ... your card is fine for gaming as long as you're willing to run without all the bells and whistles - maybe try turning down some of the graphics settings in the games you are playing.
Have you changed sound card or sound drivers? this can sometimes affect your FPS ... more info please ...

Have you turned vsync to "always off"?

i have a mx440 with 64 megs ddr and i play battlefield 1942 and i only get about 30fps i overclocked the gforce and it did boost it from 22 to 30fps so have you tried overclocking it a bit??

ok the number is what? and how do i find out if the Vsync is always off or atleast change it

not yet but i wanna but also not burn out my heatsink. its a UGP with heatsink (Silver) and if i overclock it, what should i overclock it to and will it go down later on FPS. and if it does do i overclock it again to 30FPS again

soulja.........here is a site that will help you fix some of your fps problems its not for gta3 but for battlefield 1942 that is also a hog http://www.tweaktown.com/document.ph...Id=420&dPage=1 also i overclock till i see artifacts appear in the game then i keep lowering it till the disapear
