My games keep quitting
Okay, so this is my problem...
One of my buddies recently built me a new system, which has gradually started misbehaving more and more. Everything in my computer is brand new (ordered from NewEgg) so I don't think it's a "mechanical" problem.
For whatever reason, every game I've tried (The Sims, Galactic Civilizations, Duke Nukem Manhattan Project, Medal of Honor, you name it...) will either load a little bit and then quit or quit during gameplay. As of last night Galactic Civilizations will not load at all. The reason I post here is that I really think it's a problem with my graphics card.
Anyways, any ideas you might have would be appreciated, I'm getting increasingly frustrated...
Here's the specs...
2.4 GHz processor
1 GB RAM (2 512MB either Kingston or Corsair, I forget which)
240 GB HD (Whatever that would have to do with anything)
MSI Ti4800SE-VTD8X Graphics card
Please help me before I throw it out the window. Thanks!

Sorry, what I mean when I say quit is that it returns me to the XP desktop. Sometimes I get an error message, but mostly not.

Some times this can be resloved by lowering the resolution you are playing the game at. This used to happen to one of my friends and this is what worked out so try it, you never know.

If it were only that simple....
It was the first thing I tried, but the problem has only gotten worse over time...
Thanks, though.
