staying out of the loop is hard, help!

    http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=64

above is about an error message about video drivers (?) looping and freezing screen or bsod with all sorts of driver versions and os. i presently have an epox 8kha with xp 1500 cpu/ 256 crucial ddr ram/ 30g wd/win xp pro and just installed a visiontek xtasy 5632 gforce gts-v card. useing 21.83 drivers. wont run for 3 seconds in 3dmark2k1 without freezing. i tried all suggestions that were on the above url,and it stopped, tho i think preformance may be suffering. went back to bios and used turbo default settings and nowit freezes again. anyone have thisw problem and have you tried any other drivers?? i have the latest 4 in one drivers for mobo chipset. there seems to be varying opinions on what may be causing this: win xp? cpu? ram? drivers? if you go to the forum in the above url,you will get the opinions i was talking about. help me if you can.oh yea, with the suggested bios changes in above url,the first 3dmark run i got 3146 and the second, after tweaking the card to 200/333 i got 3581. i have no idea what this system should be doing, but sure dont like the freezing, renders the new system quite useless. any help would be vastly appreciated.

drab ooops!! using win xp pro os

have you tried different nvidia drivers?

when you uninstall the agp drivers, i suggest going into safe mode and uninstalling it from there then boot back into normal windows and install the newer/ older vid. drivers.

hopefully someone here has the same same setup you have.

set you vid setting back to default and see what happens. sounds to me that your running winxp. try the w2k-XP-2280 or the w2k-v23.10 drivers and see if that help. it works for me so far. sorry , i don't have the link for that driver. i'll post back if i can find it

    my system is:
    gf2 mx & 8KHA+
