overclocking help
I have a Radeon 9700 pro and i just downloaded powerstrip. When I try and speed up the engine clock and the memory clock my screen starts to have these long colorful bars that flicker colors. I am wondering if this is normal and i should just restart and everything will be normal or is this something that could screw my radeon up?????Please give your comments.

Back off the OC. That sounds like artifacts, which means you're reaching or exceeding the card's limits.
Are you using stock cooling?

Don't use powerstrip....did the same thing to me even when I barely overclocked it (like 1mhz)......used Rage3d and I had no problems.
Dr. Cox -Newbie, Stay. Oohhh what a good boy you are, Newbie..... DEAR GOD JUDY HOW MUCH PRODUCT DO YOU USE?
J.D -None. It's like this when I wake up

MitaDC thanks for the heads up on “Rage3D Tweak“. I’ll definitely give that
a try. I tried PowerStrip before & it stunk, there are other over clocking util’s
for XP but very few for 98/Me with the new Radeon cards.
