    AGP CARDS AND MOBO

ok this might be a stupid question, but just wondering
ok my cheap ass azza motherboard only supports agp 1x/2x, now say if i get my hands on AGP 4x video card would it be able to run down at 2x?? or is that impossible?
i ask this question because my friend is upgrading his video card and he MIGHT let me have his old geforce 2
so i was wondering if it would work or not.
    thanks.

yeah, agp 4x cards are backwards compatible, you'll just lose some performance.

no, you should see a definate gain over a tnt2, just wont' be as much as it would be on a 4x system, that's all.
