directx 8 or better

Hi everyone,

I think Im having probs with my dx version, currently i'm using
8.0a on a gainward GF4TI4200 w/win 98. Is there a better one than 8.0a, not Dx9 because I don't think this is really necessary for the moment.

BTW can somebody give me a link with a good cpu burner

thx for welcome, cpu burner, for testing temps on charging processor !

why is the 8.1 version not downloadable on the microsoft site?
Is it really worth downloading the 9.0 version for a standard user?
