Radeon 64 DDR in XP?
I was curious if my radeon 64 DDR has drivers compatible with XP Pro? I know this board is pretty old now but I can't upgrade everything at once. Is the Radeon 8500 64M the same card just renamed? Thanks Everybody.

The Radeon Catylast (spelling?) drivers will work. Just download them and install.

Yes the catalyst driver should work just fine, get it here:

No the Radeon 8500 was competing with the geforce 3, which both are still pretty good cards.
Here's a couple review of the card, http://www.thetriplehelix.com/sectio...ticle&artid=78

Thanks guys. I guess i'll try and get some more time out of this old card.
That Asus 9800XT looks pretty neat though. A like the VIVO features that this cars has and would hate to give them up. I wonder if these graphics card based Video recorders are up to the task of recording for dvds? A dvd burner is next on my list.

Well probably not, considering macrovision is used in the nvidia and ati drivers and even your dvd player will do the same, a dvd-rom or dvd burner for your computer would hopefully do any dvd back up's if you like.
