Monitor

I have formated my husbands laptop and the monitor is horrible. I thought with a laptop it would reconize it. I don't have any disk for it so I thought I could go online and find a driver to improve this. I went onto Compaq's web site and got so lost. It is a Compaq Presario 1400, Model: 14xL240 and I am running Windows 98 on it.

this should be the driver for the video...if this is not what your looking for i may need a little more info as to what the problem your having is....

The screen just looks really bad, I can barley see anything on it. So ihere for I thougjt I would need a driver to correct this???

bad?? as in dark,blurry,blank,really small....bad.....describe it as well as you can....remember i cant see it at all....lol

I went ahead and downloaded what you told me and it worked...... THANKS. I had been to that site and I was scared to install something that I didn't need.
