Who's upset about the Sept. 11 ads?
The group is known as September Eleventh Families for Peaceful Tomorrows. According to their site,
Peaceful Tomorrows is a project of the Tides Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

"secretive left-wing group" is the headline. Huh? It's so secretive that you can Google "Tides Center" and read all about it here. Check out the tab Project Directory. They are affiliated with hundreds of organizations, running the gamut from inner-city literacy programs to sustainable agriculture. "Extreme?" I guess it depends on your viewpoint, but "secretive" they are not. Perhaps the "reporter" couldn't read a mission statement. Or more likely, that would have gotten in the way of his agenda.

The only possible way to be upset if in a politically biased way.
Try to imagine running for re-election and NOT mentioning one of the biggest moments in American history, lol.
Imagine FDR not mentioning WW2
or Lincoln not mentioning the civil war etc.
Besides which.....EVERY democrat has used 911 for a couple of years now in the most blatant disresepctful attacking way against the president in one way or another already....true??

The Demo's are mad about it because their man, Kerry is an anti-war pacifist. His people do not plan to fight back, they don't plan to answer an attack, and they are more comfortable with plowshares than swords.
This image serves to remind them that world events should be handled by a world poilce force and brought to a world court - the UN. They don't believe the USA has the moral right to defend it's soviernity without the permission of the UN.

It isn't just the Democrats. 9/11 families are angry, "''Using my dead friends and my dead brother for political expediency is dead wrong,'' said Chris Burke, whose brother, Tom, died in the North Tower. ``It's wrong, it's bad taste and an insult to the 3,000 people who died on Sept. 11.'' http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald...cs/8110181.htm
Firefighter organizations are mad about it too. The General President of the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO (IAFF), Harold Schaitberger, issued the following statement today after President Bush unveiled new political ads that use images of fire fighters in September 11, 2001 attacks for political gain:
"I'm disappointed but not surprised that the President would try to trade on the heroism of those fire fighters in the September 11 attacks. The use of 9/11 images are hypocrisy at its worst. Here's a President that initially opposed the creation of the Department of Homeland Security and now uses its first anniversary as cause to promote his re-election. Here is a President that proposed two budgets with no funding for FIRE Act grants and still plays on the image of America's bravest. His advertisements are disgraceful."Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

Gee, it almost seems like the AFL-CIO might go Democrat this year! I'm shocked!
I'm sure they would rather lower the profile of the fact that their member's dues are going to a left of Kennedy liberal. A man who would have called the 911 line at the United Nations rather that sought direct action when we were attacked.
Kerry is a man who supported NAFTA, free trade with China, against oil drilling in Alaska (good paying union jobs the Alaskans wanted). All positions that went against the AFL-CIO's members best interests.
I'd like to hear from the rank and file members, tho. To bad they aren't allowed to form own voice. Unfortunately, todays unions get to spend their members dues on the candidate "management" chooses, rather than consulting their members via a vote.
BTW regarding their funding, shouldn't they contact their state senator, Hillary for help? Or is she too busy pimping her book?"The world burns while Obama Tweets."

Clinton and Schumer have both complained. It just seems that when the opposition party controls the White House and boths houses of Congress, nothing happens.Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

I wouldn't watch one no matter the subject.
I wouldn't believe one if it said the Pope was a Catholic. The verasity of the administration has been established.

The Dems seem to be mad at the fact that Bush has 9-11 as a legacy rather than.....what exactly is the Dems legacy? Other than a negitive one that is.
