A single tooth implant has the advantage of not involving surrounding natural teeth. It can work well, but you should be aware that there are no "implant specialists". Choose a doctor who has done a lot of them. A team approach with a surgeon placing the implant (usually a periodontist or oral surgeon), and your general dentist fabricating the crown can work OK as well.
Take a good hard look at yourself, too. Can you expect YOU to be fanatical with your hygiene and visit your hygienist and doctor frequently for maintenance? Are you healthy, with no immune disorders, diabetes, or other general health issues? Do you smoke?
Good luck!
As always, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. |
