Without TIMO - my grades would be better, I'd be thinner, I'd go outside more....
But I'd be stupider, lonlier, geekier, and boreder.
I spend way too much time at this place.

Have a couple of broken computers, and a HUGE box of spare parts.
This is probably the best place on the net... Well, other than that badgerbadgerbadger.com thing.
1. I would have never read about the baderbadgerbadger.com in this post realizing i missed it in previous posts.
2. I would have never been stoopid enough to go and really check out badgerbadgerbadger.com
3. I would want back the 2 minutes of life that got sucked out of me through the monitor while watching badgerbadgerbadger.com
4. I wouldn't have stared at the screen turning my head like a dog trying to watch TV.“MICROSOFT: Where do you want to go today? APPLE: Where do you want to go tomorrow? LINUX: Are you coming or what?”

I would watch more TV, play more Battlefield 1942, know a crapload less about computers, and be much more bored on the computer.
I think we all need to thank the people that run this site and make my day a bit brighter.

Without TechIMO;
a) There would be no "Harvey, Private Hamster"; An atrocious waste of time, bandwidth, and a jolly good time as well.
b) The wood computer case I made would simply never have happened. No way! The people here definitely had a BEEEG hand in its creation, for which I am thankful.
c) I would be poorer in the area of friends, as I have made several friends on these boards, which I treasure; Your average TechIMOlian is an unusual human, which is the kind I like the best!
This place has given me so many laughs, heart attacks, thoughts, reversals-of-opinion, etc, all I can say is, I feel fortunate to be able to come here and exchange thoughts with so many intelligent, contrary, anarchistic, and downright cool folks.
Of course I waste time here. But that time is mine to waste. And furthermore, I would posit that it ain't a waste in the first place!
Long live TechIMO, and the friends who compose its substance!
