"Win This Baby", the new reality TV show?

ABC, in their never-ending attempt to out-stupid everyone else's reality TV shows, will award a real baby to the winner of a "contest" to be held on a special edition of 20/20.

I have to say.....WTF?! Compete to adopt a child as a reality show prize?! What do hard-working and discerning adoption agencies think about this? Is this even legal?

If it ain't legal, then I'm sure the lawyers will seek to make it so...

uh, oh, my hostility for lawyers is showing again...

    HEY! LOOK OVER THERE!!

A new reality show! EAT LIVE BUGS FOR MONEY!

Contestants will bid on how much they will be paid to eat a live bug!

The "Reality Show" that slides down your craw, and leaves a really ICKY feeling when you get done watching it!

I believe I can get Pepto-Bismol to sponsor it, whaddya say?

Dentist: "Okay, NOW create something funny!"

Network Executive: "Wrrrgghhhh, wwhaafffaaa dabbba wooo..."

Actually I consider Fear Factor more of a "game show" than a reality TV show. I can stand to watch Fear Factor once in awhile.

the funny part is that all the reality t.v. shows are a reflection of our society, else noone would watch and they'd stop, so hurrah for us, none of us fit into "normal society "

So that means reality shows are merely documentaries? If it is a true reflection of normal life then we are in a sad state of affairs. It's all over-hyped hyped entertainment to gain ratings and sponsorship $$$. The average TV-watching Joe isn't expected to make the reality vs. fantasy distinction. We have met the enemy and he is us.

im kinda torn (well not about the new show, thats rediculous)... i hate the bug eating and just disgusting "reality shows" ... but everyonce in a while on fear factor, they will actually do something that is frightening (and not just gross), and that is fun to watch... like walking along a beam suspended in mid air.

as for the rest, im not a big fan..
    I don't like signatures.
