I don't follow hockey much either.
But when it comes to Worldcups then I watch.
Specially when we kick some US butts right?

DanGrease did you get to see the Canadian game when Scott N went
behind the net and by accident his stick touch the goalie who in
turn flop like he was hit by a freight train and than the puck came out front
and Canada score
btw Halifax and Quebec are going to host the world cup in

Yes I did. When that goalie fell down it seemed as he had been hit by a car.
No US members posting here? Humiliated maybe?
I still believe we will win against Canada today, but lets just wait and see.

I caught the last of the game and it was a good, well played game from what I saw.

I enjoy watching a good, clean, fast game and that one appeared to be one from what I saw.
BTW, the Swedish National and Olympic Hockey Teams have both played in my home town of Warroad, MN., and it's always a pleasure to watch a GREAT game by them. If I remember right, we won all the games though.
It'll be a close call between Canada and Sweden, and I don't know at this point who I'll be cheering for. Both have good teams, both teams like to play a fast, clean game. The end result will be a pleasure to watch.

sports don't really interest me...I've always thought that the more sports you watch, the less able you are to participate in intelligent conversation. (grunts and cheers don't count as talking!)
but, if you actually play a sport, and are good at it, then I guess that counts for something, right?
yeah, good for them.
for the record, I prefer to watch the X-Games and related "alternative" sports, because of their unique appeal, and that not everyone can do a 540 on a skateboard!

Stealthy, I don't do much sports as well. What I have as a hobby though is an extreme sport. I am bringing it up since you mentioned Skateboarding. What I do when I have free time is to inline skate to a ramp near me with my aggressive inline rollerblades and skate for a while. Been inline skating in vert for more than a year now and I love it.
For those that cant watch the game, here is some DanGrease's Live Status Report: (
