Music and Concentration
Does listening to music help you concentrate? I've always believed it does, but I was wondering what everyone else thinks. What do you listen to while studying, writing, or doing other thinking-intensive activity?
I wonder if any real scientific studies have been done, comparing groups of students studying while listening to music versus not listening to anything.

wow, I'm just the opposite. I need silence to really concentrate.
Music would soon have me daydreaming, or staring out the window at a bird or somethin. ( I must be easily distracted.)

I'm very easily distracted, but I find music helps me concentrate
I dont' concentrate on one thing very well, so it helps to have music going to be an alternative point of attention, but doesn't take away my focus.
What I listen to varies quite a bit, sometimes if I just want to pound out some work I'll crank up some metal and I can zone everything else out and get my work done.

Depends what kind of music and what I need to concentrate on. Some music helps. Some distracts. Some ain't music at all!RayH42450@gmail.com
