One the one hand we have the fact that the major media outlets in the U.S. are owned by large corporate conglomerates, which by their nature are generally accepted to be conservative. On the other hand, we have "you're way wrong."
Hmm, tough call here. |

Do you watch the news.
I don't believe that you can watch CNN, NBC, abc and not come to the conclusion that there is some sort of liberal leaning.
Conservative ownership may factor in to temporing complete collapse into liberal propaganda. |

In a way, I can agree with you, Epi; but only due to the fact that the term "liberal" has been re-defined over the past 15 or so years by the likes of Rush and Newt to mean "anyone who disagrees with our agenda and views." |

I quite often disagree their agenda, but I'm by no means a liberal. |

Pexter,
I speak of liberal being twisting of facts regarding education funding, gun violence and results of restriction, insane views of imigration where the media puts forth an air of illegal imigrants suffering in america. I also note weight given to different facts.
All of the media seems to reak of liberalism in stories not reported, slant of facts, so on.
Stories with priority reversed from reality.
Ab giab prison gets 90,000 hours of coverage (when at worse it was a minor infraction on when put in perspective with all other conflicts throughout time) 2, 3 days of coverage over american citizens having their heads chopped off.
Stories like Putin stating that Iraq was directly implicated in planing with terrorist organizations at senior level gets page 16 footnote.
All in all every arena I see in the mainstream media reeks of liberal agenda.
The only apparent conservative slant on the media was actually during the initial days of the war where the media for business reasons decided to cover the war with a positive slant. Quickly though they changed back to status quo. |

I don't think it's very plausible to argue whether the media leans left or right. Unless you have some sort of a god-like unbiased character, you nor we are going to come to an agreement.
We all pay much more attention to what we don't want to see than to what we do. Can't we all just get along?
I am in no way, shape, or form a Bush backer, but these sort of arguments are a cause of the slight social disorder in this country at the moment, IMO. |
