Ok...the amount of people my age who are either pregnant by accident or on purpose is absolutely astounding. It seems every month there is some chic pregnant in my company or a guy who just planted his seed.
WTF?!?! Why?? Why would you even want a kid at 19-24 years old and when you're in the military??? And if it's by accident...MY GOD YOU'RE STUPID.
Personally, I have zero desire to have kids anytime within the next 6-7-8 years or so...maybe when I'm 30 and have done all the stupid things I want to do. I also just don't like kids *shrugs*. I know at least half a dozen people in my 170 man company who are pregnant or have a wife/gf who is pregnant, most of this in the past 1-2 months and all are 19-24 years old. Funny thing is, most are irresponsible and immature (go figure).
If you can't practice without making Joe Jr., don't practice mating at all....*sigh*

Isn't that a military thing? Most of the people who I know join the military end up coming home and asking their girlfriend to marry them, or she suddenly becomes pregnant, etc. etc. Even though enlisted housing isn't glamorous, I guess it would still be better than the dorms/barracks.

I tend to think many in that age group are alike...I don't know how it is in college life or if any of you even pay attention to this stuff...

The people who I generally notice in my age group who are getting pregnant are the white-trash types. You know... Billy Sue stole Norma Jean's boyfriend, and now Billy Sue is proudly pregnant with his child. (names have been slightly altered)

Well it depends on the area too. I went to a HS in the suburbs and the pregnancy rate there was something like 0.1% of the girls. An inner city school not too far from here has a 12% pregnancy rate. We also have our white trash HS in the middle of nowhere with a rate of 6%. |

We all know women can be very sloppy about birth control. If you are female and in the military, it should be mandatory to have a Norplant implant, imho. You join the military to serve your country(or get education), not get knocked up on the gov't and taxpayer dime.
Norplant is temporary and can be removed after discharge. |

OMG, when I was in (USMC) all the WMs were at it with higher ranking NCOs. Some of them with *much* higher ranking NCOs. They had a crap load of people on legal hold over one bf/gf who were also SSgt/PFC. But the Master Sgt (pretty high in USMC) had a Cpl girlfriend. LOL.

| Isn't that a bit chauvinist in an old-fashioned way, Toadman? Since when is it the woman's responsibility to make sure you don't become a daddy? |
