Since our friends here, are from all around, I was curious as to the reports in your area, regarding these So-called tainted mesquitoes.
I will tell you, that in L.A, O.C, California, they haven't shut-up, one day, on the news, selling their scare, to the people.
All of sudden, we have this WHAT?, mesquito from Africa(WEST NILE)spreading death and disease?
Do you guys have this problem where you Are? |

My plant manager is now recovering from West Nile. Thought we were gonna lose him , but is on the road to a SLOW recovery.

They are suppose to show up here in the Okanagan this month. We don't have much of a misquito problem after the beginning of July. It gets to hot for them down in the valley areas so they head up to the higher elevations in the mountains where it's cooler. Ontario has had a rough go of it though.
Cheers! |

O.C. eh? Is it as nice as it is presented on TV? Never been there, just curious.
As for the mesquitoes here, not a whole lot mentioned yet. Usually mid August when it's real muggy they start talking about it. I'm not much of an evening (outdoors) type, so I really haven't paid to much attention.

My aunt, who lives in Kansas, got it, and almost died.
There have been a few cases of it around here, but not many. I get bit a few times whenever I go out in the evening, so I try and do outdoor stuff in the afternoon instead. |

I, who lives in the San Gabriel valley, have not experienced anything with it. I agree taht the news doesn't stop talking about it (e.g."the man who died" and "the guy that might have died")
Its bad, but if people just kept sitting water out of their yards, we wouldn't have much of a problem
