Rush the building and end the situation and hope people survive.

These terrorists crave attention. End the situation. Gas em and hope for the best on reviving the children.

It is more important to show strength than to save the children. this is a bad situation giving them media attention, or dealing with them will only promote further incidents. Best to make the tactic appear completely futile. better to feel the horror now than to feel 100 horrors in the future.

terrs shoot one, say we mean business
army comes in
terrs shoot a few more
army says it serious, drops the SWAT in and kills 'em all, more civies die.

Skip the give up stage and storm the building. a situation like this should not last more than a few hours of careful preparation. No demands, no warnings.

Matters of terrorism are clearly political matters. In this case it's very clear. They aren't kidnappers looking for a cash ransom. They have a political agenda.

And it wasn't political patronizing. It was a serious question. These are terrorists, our president has said thousands of times that we'll "smoke them out." And that we'll combat all terrorists.

sorry if I took it wrong, I saw your post as a slam against Bush.

And logically, why would Russia need US help? lets see, they only have one of the largest armies in the world. and who knows? maybe we're flying some SOF guys over there right now. But really, how much can we do in a situation like this? This might last a day at most. Want us to pack in the entire Marine expeditionary Force? lets see, they might make it by the end of the month.
