| GOP vs DNC or DNC vs GOP! Who cares the most?
Well????
As some of you know, I'm an ardent supporter of [FAD] Find-a-Drug and Distributed Computing.
Well, I was looking at the Team TechIMO stats and noticed that some of the most vocal people in the political threads have been members of the team, but are no longer active. Now, in all fairness, it appears that those with Conservative leanings are the main ones that have participated in trying to help find cures for cancer, MS, HIV, SARS, Malaria, etc. (While they are currently not active, at least they participated.)
This brings up the first of 2 questions and the challenge.
1. Why have those with Liberal leanings not even attempted? They consistantly say they want to help mankind, they spend a lot of time, research, and money trying to show all the good they've done for mankind, but aren't willing to donate unused cpu cycles to find the cures.
2. Why have those with Conservative leanings gone inactive? They consistantly say they care more than the liberals, but after making a brief attempt, they quit.
So-o-o-o-o . . . . . The challenge!
Let's see who is more willing to show what they and their leanings are made of!
Join [FAD] Team TechIMO and show who cares the most. To get started, click HERE!!!
And let's be fair about this, those who are already members of the team (active or not) must record their current points in this thread (to be subtracted from the Liberal or Conservative total at the end of the contest).
If you are a new member, add a (GOP) or (DNC) after your user name (this will make it easier identifying which one you're supporting). (For those of us who are Non-Partisan or Independants, just add (NOA), for None Of the Above, after yer' user name.)
When the President is sworn in, the contest will end and the points totals will be tallied and adjusted.
Then, well see who has the bragging rights for caring for the next 4 years. For those who wish to voluntarily join this challenge, please post which group you are supporting (after joining Team TechIMO) in this thread.
Good luck to both sides!

Could it possibly be that we're currently involved in other projects? I don't know, but it's just a suggestion.

List'em! (And, as you political debater's are so quick to ask . . . proof required! I don't want either side accusing the other of lying! )

Sounds good to me, so good this made the frontpage news. http://www.techimo.com/newsapp/index.pl?photo=12113
We hear people complaining about current problems, such as healthcare and disease. Now it is time these people come foward to participate in something capable of addressing these problems through research - distributed computing! |

Just make sure everyone joins team# 2037. Sharder, you may want to put a link to the FAD Info thread in your first post. |
