    Skiing Question

    Well Arapahoe Basin opens tomorrow

I have an unlimited pass, and ABasin is one of my 5 mountains so I figure I may go on Saturday.

What I am looking to do is take a class on snowboarding. That way I can rule out hating it before I buy all the gear on the 30th. My question is, will it be suitable to learn on (snow-wise)? Also, is it going to be packed?

Really I don't care much if it is really crowded, only that I can take the class and get to try a small portion of it out.

    Thanks
    Jkrohn

It will most likely be pretty packed. White ribbons of death for awhile. From what I've heard its only a few runs opening. Alot of people are pretty anxious to get back on the slopes after a long summer. Like pickel said you'll need some Tylenol. It will most likely be significant amount of snow, or at least enough to keep you going. However it might be icy. Not the best stuff to learn anything on. Best of luck to you though.

ill give you a tip for your first time snowboarding, LAYER YOUR BUTT. Wear lots of padding and lots of warmness on your bottom, because you WILL spend alot of time on it. Dont hate snowboarding just because of this tho, it seems difficult because theres a steep learning curve, it goes

    You suck----you suck-----you suck-----you suck-------hey look i can ride!-----carving!!!

You might not get it your first time, but just keep at it, its not all that hard to pick up if you want to.
