Thread: It's back! :)

It's back! :) Hopefully working now, beta test it!
I finally got my website back online, and it is now ready to accept members! I held back from advertising my site everywhere, because of a lackluster processor, and terrible memory. It's now ready to go! Upgraded the memory also.
Please check it out and tell me what you think, then go tell your friends
Email server installed, and other problems stomped. Tell me if it hiccups!

Interesting idea!

Really good idea for a site. I can see it growing into a monster within a couple of years.
Cheers! and good luck.

I believe you'll need a more "mainstream" .com address, though.
And how about Governmental History?Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do with themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

October 25th, 2004, 01:23 AM #6not getting a .com until the site starts to take off some, and as for government history, I'm debating that. I vetoed a 9/11 forum, because I would probably end up banning anyone that went into the section. I don't want a flame fest popping up in the forums. The war forums are pushing it, but I think they are manageable.

If people want to flame each other, several other forums exist for that purpose!

okay outpatient, I fixed it. However, I had to delete your account. I had this problem once before, and the persons account never worked quite right, so please sign up again if that won't be a hassle. Thanks for signing up

Anyone else? Word of mouth will be my primary advertising, and talking to people in person (had a few signups this way)
NEVER will I charge access for this site. This defeats my purpose of trying to collect peoples history stories. I also plan to speak to people in senior homes, and other people who are dieing to tell a story, but don't have alot of money. I should be hopefully getting a camera, so I can visit places here in las vegas and take pictures of them, and do write ups about the places!
Please help me out and email your friends, that will be my primary method to get signups.
edit: outpatient: the email server just crashed and locked up
Time to upgrade the email server!
this is frustrating....

outpatient, please signup, and I will manually activate your account. I know you are not going to spam the heck out of my board, so I'll just do it by hand!

Cool idea for a site and a nice looking page.
One suggestion, put the states forums in alphabetical order. It makes looking for your state a little easier.A+, MCP, MCDST, MCSA, MCTS, MCITP, Sonicwall CSSA

October 25th, 2004, 03:49 PM #12I'll do that later. First though, I need to install exchange 2003. Stupid piece of cr*p Mdaemon is causing network problems with the email.

email will be activated when I install exchange server, please signup still, and I will activate your account manually until the server works. The only thing that doesn't work is the email part of the site, everything else does!
