I think they did the right thing.

There's more:
http://www.drudgereport.com/abct1.htm
Basically, they are saying maybe the shouldn't run it if it might affect the election, since threats to the homeland help Bush...
If it helped Kerry, like the ammo dump hit piece they would be all over it!Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

October 28th, 2004, 01:11 PM #6Not so sure that is true Chuckie.... after all, in the video they do blame Bush for the past and supposed upcoming attack. Depending on where you stand, this could either bolster support for Bush, or hinder it.If it helped Kerry, like the ammo dump hit piece they would be all over it!
I think ABC was a bit more responsible in having restraint and not showing this video ....yet. If nothing else to give time for proper authorities to get what they could out of it in order to either (1) prevent it, or (2) determine who is in the video so they can be arrested if possible.
I think they also were smart not to air it in the sense that threat of an attack, at an undetermined time/location/manner, is nothing more than an attempt to instill fear in the American public and create paranoia...... which would be playing into the hands of terrorists since that is exactly one of their objectives.
As for the ammo dump....... its a fact man. The stuff was there, we knew it was there, and we didn't secure or destroy it. Right, wrong, or indifferent, it IS/WAS a newstory worthy of disclosing.Through the NIC, on the cat5, off the gateway router, out the cable modem...….nothin' but net.

October 28th, 2004, 01:44 PM #7We don't know when it was there, as in prior to the US invasion. This story is rapidly being debunked as the hit piece it is.As for the ammo dump....... its a fact man. The stuff was there, we knew it was there, and we didn't secure or destroy it. Right, wrong, or indifferent, it IS/WAS a newstory worthy of disclosing.
People are too quick to place the blame on Bush and the military due to the impending election. It is newsworthy that the UN, Kerry, CBS, and the NY Times are all working in concert to defeat Bush.Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!
