A while back, SNL had them on as a musical guest. They played a song that I can't for the life of me find.
Anybody else see it and/or know the name.This signature intentionally left blank.

One of my all-time favorite bands.
I have the video of them playing Idioteque on SNL but I don't have enough space to upload.

That'd be illegal for you to distribute anyway.

November 5th, 2004, 12:34 AM #12Something tells me sharing pisspoor rips for free of a fraction of broadcast of a television show that is in syndication falls under "fair use."That'd be illegal for you to distribute anyway.
Could be wrong.

I dunno. I'm pretty sure SNL owns the rights to everything it broadcasts. Just like you can't tape and redistribute any other TV show.

November 5th, 2004, 12:40 AM #141) non-profit useFair Use Law 17 U.S.C. 107 (1988 & Supp. IV 1993). Section 107 provides in part: Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include:
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
2) not a perfect reproduction
3) a fraction of the copyrighted work as a whole
4) if there existed a market for fractions of clips in MPG format, they would be sold. If this were an item produced by NBC to be sold on the net, and it were being distributed for free... they would have a beef under #4.
Fair use is a neat thing. Lets you photocopy pages from books and everything. Ever noticed how most libraries have photocopy machines easily available.Last edited by Gomer; November 5th, 2004 at 12:45 AM.

I would say to scrap it and start again, without even looking at it. Time to get a local web designer to throw a few ideas at the boss, and see what you really need from a website.
