I hope Colin Powell stays... He's one of the few in the group that I respect.

It's by no means clear that his replacement will be better. Smoother, perhaps; less of a buffoon; maybe not a Bible-thumping prude. But that doesn't mean the new AG won't be just as willing to take away as much of our freedoms as Ashcroft was.

| I agree...that is what I meant by "appeasement"....I think some of these moves are to provide a sort of smoke screen/distraction to people who dont like the oppressive Bush regime....so we have some public changes thrown out to give the impression of "change".....but it will most likely just be window dressing
As far as Guliani...I do believe that he will be getting some sort of promotion....and we all know that the Republicans can use all the help they can get with New Yorkers, lol
My gut feeling, Rudy must be repayed for his "loyalty" and co-operation with Bush during 911.......now, you think I mean Rudy pulling together with Bush to help us through this terrible tradgedy...but no...I mean Rudy helping Bush/neocons PULL OFF this terrible tradgedy....
That is my gut instinct...because of the fact that Rudy's megamillion dollar control bunker was in the WTC 7 building.....this is the building that "fell" mysteriously later that day and then the owner simply admitted on PBS that they "pulled" it..claiming the fire was unstoppable (though pictures only show 2 small fires in this huge 47 story building)
of course wtc 7 had all of Enrons files (SEC) and other high govt offices
My gut tells me that the attacks, at least the NY parts...were directed from that bunker...then when the deed was done they simply destroyed it
When the loudspeaker announced to people that they could either stay in their offices or leave...that loudspeaker announcement came from WTC 7....so it is my feeling that the attack was coordinated from there
No way this was done without Rudy's knowledge...so Rudy must be paid off...I mean, paid back...err..whatever
perhaps he is thinking of a 2008 Pres run..but I dont think he will be the #1 choice for that....I think the reps wll push for Arnold if they can get the amendment passed...
Idea being that they will put Arnold up against Hillary knowing that the conservative base would put in anybody BUT Hillary..since the name "Clinton" is anathema to conservatives.

I don't know, Theo. It'd be a good move now, and for the future of the Rep. party. They have an election to win in '08, and Rudy would be a strong VP candidate regardless of the ticket. |
