Do you text-message? [phone]
Does anyone text message on their phones? I look at these phones and mine is capable, but it must take forever to "type" out anything on them.
And surf the web on a phone? I think not. What a waste of time.
Just curious is all
Doh- there is no - No in the poll
I just used gotta learn how to type

So, I have a cell phone, yet there is no option on the poll for using it to "call and talk"?
Anyway, for the most part, I use my phone to actually talk. I only text message if someone texts me first.

Since there is no option, I'll just say it: "I don't use text messaging"
Text messaging is a waste of time.

texting is massive in the uk. i text, talk, surf a little, and use mms on my phone. mms is multimedia messaging, btw. pop in photos, text and a soundclip in one message. for some reason, i can't seem to setup my email, though. a lot of phones have preset text messages, to speed things up, such as 'where are you', 'how's it going?' and more. text messages are really handy, imo. i saw a new siemens phone due out, which included blackberry. is blackberry any good? you don't hear a lot about it in the uk.

lol vass....I have several friends with Nextel (I have Verizon). I'm quite familiar with that sound.
I'm thinking of switching to Cingular/AT&T when my contract expires this July. The rollover minutes are very appealing. It's either that or Nextel.

I like the roll over minutes idea...should have been that way all along.
Nextel is only good because all my incoming calls are free and there are more than enough walky talky minutes to not burn them all up in a month.this post contains small bits of intelligence culminating to the appearance of wisdom.

I text like a mad man. It saves alot of time spent on the phone as well as alot of the headaches\hassles of calling just to ask one or two simple questions. Also works well when you can't talk to someone on the phone IE when working or in meetings ect.
One thing that sucks about the ATT/cingular merger is that cingular charges for incoming as well as outgoing msgs.

I use the phone to obviously talk and text messages sometimes. I only text someone when I cannot talk and need to tell them something important or if I'm unsure if my friends are in class or not.

Before I had a license and was constantly waiting for the city bus, I always went on the web on my phone.
Usually just CNN, BBC News, and the Weather Channel.
It saved my sanity.
I never see the Cingular bill, so cost is not a factor for me.

December 12th, 2004, 09:37 PM #20I dunno. My parents have AT&T and it sucks. Well, the coverage does. I've pay the extra and stay with Verizon or go with Nextel.

Well, that was indeed the point of the original post. A made-up scandal about something that, at the very most, involved a fine detail of Marine protocol, not applicable to any of the other services...
Oh, look! A NEW Obama scandal!!!
